nanoETXexpress-VX8

The nanoETXexpress specification, a form factor driven by Kontron, is targeted to deliver extremely power-saving COMs with mid to high performance x86 technology on a footprint that is a mere 55 mm x 84 mm. This is 39 percent of the original COM Express™ module Basic form factor 125 x 95 mm footprint and 51 percent of microETXexpress (95mm x 95mm). This new COM form factor is based on COM Express™ COM.0 Type 1 connector. The locations of the identically mapped pin-outs are also 100 percent COM.0 compatible.

The nanoETXexpress-VX8 will support 1 PCI express x 1 Lane, 1 x 4 Lanes. Ethernet 10/100/1000 Gbit on board for high connectivity and 6 x USB 2.0 provides fast and sufficient interfaces for external peripherals. nanoETXexpress-VX8 also provides the following interfaces that are always located in the same physical position on each board, thus guaranteering scalability between modules: PCIexpress, 2 x serial ATA, LVDS, High definition Audio.

nanoETXexpress specification, the smallest possible form factor with PCIe based COMs will support many new applications include hand-held units for medical, mobile data solutions and other emerging applications that have not been possible as of yet due to size restrictions.

All above mentioned requirements are supported by nanoETXexpress - small power - low size - high performance.
