The new 32nm Intel® Core™ i7 platform is one of the highlights of Kontron’s product presentation at Embedded World in Nuremberg.
With the single-width Kontron AM4020 AdvancedMC processor board and the 6U VPX VX6060 CPU blade, Kontron presents two new boards based on this new multi-core processor platform, with integrated memory controller, PCI Express and graphics processor offering the highest processing density and performance in an extremely compact footprint.
The Kontron AM5030 Advanced MC with Intel® Xeon® processor marks the edge in computing performance. In addition to the high performance segment, Kontron also contributes to SFF product designs with a COM Express™ compatible microETXexpress® module for the E2 temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). The Computer-on-Module with Intel® Atom™ processor is suited for outdoor use or for in-vehicle applications and operates even in extreme cold or heat.
Especially for applications in the railway sector, Kontron offers a ruggedized, EN50155-certified and TX-compliant railway box PC with Intel® Atom™ processor. The Kontron MPCX28R system offers, among other things, a 1.5 kV isolated input power supply and a rugged M12 interface connector. It underscores the trend in the field of embedded computing towards application-ready platforms.
Kontron’s exceptionally broad portfolio is also enhanced by the new PicoClient. It has a 5-inch display and is equipped with an ARM9 processor making it especially cost effective and energy efficient.
Thus, Kontron offers a broad portfolio of thin clients/HMIs for industrial applications, from ARM9 to Intel® Atom™ up to high-performance Intel® Core™ Duo based platforms.
