E2Brain
Computer-On-Module
E²Brain (Embedded Electronic Brain) is a highly application oriented architecture for advanced RISC based Computer-On-Modules. It brings the benefits of RISC architectures like excellent performance at extraordinary low power consumption to the world of modular board concepts. E²Brain fulfils the requirements of various markets such as industrial control, medical, communications, transportation, and military by providing a comprehensive perfectly tailored set of features.
Scalable Performance
The compatibility of all E²Brain modules is ensured on a level represented by the basic system and I/O interface with PCI, LPC, I²C, serial interfaces, Ethernet, power supply, and debug port. To accommodate a broad spectrum of applications, two extension connectors provide additional interfaces.
Application Oriented
E²Brain Computer-On-Modules are available in various configurations. Different CPU architectures, scalable performance and connectivity let the user tailor the computing core exactly to the needs of the application.
One Family two Branches
Communication Engines
E²Brain Communication Engines are targeted for systems with enhanced requirements for communications capabilities. This is achieved by deploying sophisticated, highly integrated network processors. Fast serial interfaces with multi-protocol support, multiple Ethernet ports, telecom specific interfaces like UTOPIA, as well as the common E²Brain system I/O ports leave nothing to be desired. The Communication Engines not only offer a perfect base for all kinds of subsystem controllers in the telecom and datacom area, but are also best suited to drive gateways and protocol converters in industrial applications.
Advanced Computing Cores
E²Brain Advanced Computing Cores are universally applicable RISC Computer-On-Modules for computing intense tasks in industrial control, medical, transportation and defense. The products concentrate on the essential attributes expected of an embedded computer for use in real time units, but are enhanced with application specific features like CAN and CompactFlash interfaces. The excellent performance/power consumption ratio, shock/vibration resistance and extended temperature range qualifies the Advanced Computing Cores for demanding control tasks in harsh environments.
